Arsenic and Weak Lace has been a family Halloween tradition for years. In some ways it might be called the new alarm spoof: Two sweet outmoded ladies poison lonely faded men as a “charity” and bury them in the cellar, and no sooner does their stable nephew accept out about this (while preparing to leave for his honeymoon) than his long-lost homicidal brother returns with a face like Frankenstein’s monster.

Cary Grant knew his contrivance around a comedy, so it’s easy to gain when his character Mortimer grows more and more frazzled throughout the night, jumping from one plight to the next so snappy that he can’t even remember he’s unprejudiced been married that day. In his area, juggling four insane relatives (three of them killers), a handful of cops, and two boring bodies, we’d all feel the worse for wear. The plod is like a flash, almost frantic at times; complications and site twists advance faster than anyone in the movie can handle them. The only characters who aren’t perturbed and thrown completely out of their elements by the affair are the rest of the Brewster family, who are all crazy anyway.

The unlit comedy genre is chubby of films that are a petite too graphic or disturbing for kids (and even some adults), but this one’s not quite so dusky, and wildly comic enough to entertain all ages. And no matter how young or customary you are, no matter how normal a family you have, you won’t be able to befriend but chuckle when the harried Mortimer takes a breather to define to his unique wife: “Insanity runs in my family…. It practically gallops.”

Frank Capra delivers a colossal film adaptation of Joseph Kesselring’s Broadway hit, “Arsenic and Musty Lace”. Originally filmed in 1941 fair prior to WWII, but not released until 1944 because of the contract agreement to allow the play to complete its Broadway hasten. (The play ran for 1,444 performances.)

Cary Grant in the leading role as nephew, Mortimer Brewster is at his comedic best in this dusky comedy of wine, family & insanity. His 2 wonderful Aunts played by Josephine Hull & Jean Adair were encored to the cover and are perfect in their roles. Boris Karloff’s obligations prevented him from doing the movie and was replaced by Raymond Massey in the movie version as Grant madcap brother. The broad ensemble cast also included Peter Lorre, Edward Everett Horton, Priscilla Lane & John Alexander as a scrumptious zany crazy, thinking he is President “Teddy Roosevelt”.

Summary: It is Halloween, Mortimers wedding day & his life is about to change forever. Visiting his 2 Aunts (Hull & Adair) with his wife (Lane - Ministers daughter!) on their diagram to their honeymoon to Niagara Falls discovers a body in the window seat. Thinking his crazy cousin, (Alexander) has committed the crime approaches his Aunts. They not only know about the body, but they know who he was & how he died. Their elderberry wine laced with a mixture of arsenic. Oh by the design, he is the 12th to be buried in the cellar. What is Mortimer to do & is his entire family insane? I am 25 years musty, and I’ve never stopped loving this movie! I never owned it as a kid, but my cousins loaned it to me and my sisters (we finally gave it help after a couple of years), and now that I have an 18-month primitive daughter of my gain, I want her to secure to know the magic of this awesome movie, too! The Care Bears are so frigid (everything I wished I could be), and I savor how their powers arrive from their worship for everyone. The Care Bears are so contagious, even Dim Heart couldn’t resist anymore! All of the songs are so cute, and I tranquil remember all the words (in fact, I aloof have my audio cassette soundtrack) . The song “Forever Young” is my accepted. This movie will never derive faded, and either will the Care Bears (I collected sleep with my Bedtime Gain!) . Okay, that was probably more than you wanted to know. Anyway, you have to find this movie. For your kids, for yourself. If you’re looking for a video that is chock-full of values, fancy, caring, acceptance, and forgiveness (which, unfortunately, is kinda rare these days), then you need to add this one to your video library.

I had been searching for this film in local stores for a long time and finally found it the other day and bought it! It’s composed titanic after all these years! However, I quiet fail to understand how Sunless Heart could almost drown?!!! I mean, he was a sea serpent at the beginning, and his lawful beget seems to be a cloud of faulty. But who cares, this is pure ’80’s sugar and stout fun! If you loved the first one, you’ll probably treasure this one fair as mighty.

Three kids at a summer camp are tired of being last in everything. Two of the kids accumulate a visit from the Care Bears, while the third gets a visit from Shadowy Heart, making a deal to be Camp Champ, but in exchange for what? Classic superb vs. Ghastly. Could Black Heart be the Devil? The film shows the babyhood of the Care Bears and Care Have cousins, and seems to destroy out some of the facts from the modern movie. In the unusual, the Bears seemed to be meeting the Cousins for the first time, but in this sequel…er…prequel, they were babies together. And in this second film we peep the unusual Care Maintain and Care Contain Cousin, Right Heart and Profitable Heart who are both mysteriously absent from the current film. Oh well, maybe this is the Care Bears in a parallel dimension. If you gape the films seperately it’s aesthetic, but one after the other might confuse you.

Care Bears Movie 2 has a peculiar narrator by the plan. A great star. No, not a movie star, and not the sun, impartial a colossal star who guides the first Care Acquire and Care Have Cousin, along with the Cubs, to a Care A Lot type site (before they split the cubs up, sending half to Care A Lot and half to the Forrest of Feelings) . Who knows where they came from though. The opening is considerable like the opening to Santa Claus, the Movie, where they are shown their unique home, and are led into a current life of watching over the children of the world, making definite they all “care.” It’s all kinda Novel Agey now that I reflect about it, but very cute and tremendous for boosting toy sales. A highlight for me was always the fact that Tenderheart’s vow was noneother than whoever it was that voiced Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. This sequel, or prequel I guess, is not quite as honorable as the modern, but almost, and objective as racy. The villain is not as scary, but lovely darn despicable and does some really devil-like, in personality that is, not necessarily appearance. Like the first, this film teaches some enormous lessons and is pure sweetness and fun. It’s titanic for anyone like me, a 26 year feeble, straight, male, cartoon lover who enjoys flashbacks to his childhood, or honest the average kid who needs something to glimpse and likes cartoons!

It amazes me how incredibly well this 1969 western has held up after all these years. At once classically structured and satirically executed, director George Roy Hill and screenwriter William Goldman have pulled together a supremely involving period represent that caters to contemporary sensibilities to this day. It is to their credit that the film remains honest to the characters and never gets too ample during its mercurial paced 110-minute running time. The account naturally revolves around the legendary outlaws who robbed banks at the turn of the last century. Their escapades are divided roughly into three sections in the film. The first is the introductory set-up where their opposite yet complementary personalities are established. Leading the motley Hole in the Wall Gang, they ultimately pull off a notify robbery with an excess of dynamite. The second fraction is an extended streak sequence where Butch and Sundance are chased relentlessly by a group of unknown bounty hunters.

The third and final section details their dash to Bolivia where they are distinct to go straight but earn caught up with local bandits and accept their immoral past catching up with them. It seems inconceivable to have anyone other than Paul Newman and Robert Redford in the title roles. As the more established star at the time, Newman is characteristically laconic as Butch. His innate likeability is enhanced by his rascally manner and crack comedy timing. In the more weak gunslinger role, Redford provides the ideal partner with his flinty manner and unavoidable charisma. In between them is Katharine Ross, new from “The Graduate”, who plays Etta with sensual élan, though she does not figure in the most notable scenes. Of course, Burt Bacharach’s instantly recognizable musical gain is here, and while there is an anachronistic feel to such 1960’s-sounding pop music over a western, it somehow works because the attitude of the film seems so new. Even the comically romantic bicycle sequence manages to keep its buoyancy thanks to the inane but undeniably catchy “Raindrops Withhold Fallin’ on My Head”.

Conrad Hall’s vibrant, burnished cinematography deserves special mention as it has been preserved well in the 2006 Ultimate Collector’s Edition DVD package. The rest of the two-disc package is robust though bordering on overkill, adding on to the features that were already included in the previous 2000 Special Edition DVD. Retained from that edition is the curious combination of perspectives provided by Hill, Hall, lyricist Hal David and associate producer Bob Crawford in their joint commentary track. Recent is separate and equally insightful commentary from Goldman. Another holdover from the previous edition is the forty-minute vintage documentary, “The Making of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid”, a tranquil terrific featurette from 1970 with participation from Newman, Goldman, Hill and Redford.

There are three fresh documentaries - a 2005 retrospective gape at the film called “All of What Follows is True: The Making of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”; a fact-check featurette called “The Wild Bunch: The Fair Narrative of Butch & Sundance”; and the somewhat repetitive “History Through the Lens: Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid: Outlaws Out of Time”, a cumulative anguish which combines elements of all the other documentaries into one ninety-minute feature. Lots of colossal insight is provided on the 1994 interviews with Newman, Redford, Ross, Goldman and Bacharach. A deleted scene is also included with Hill’s commentary (since the audio had been lost) - it is a disposable transitional scene where Butch and Sundance are watching newsreel footage of themselves in a Bolivian theater while Etta quietly leaves to the screech status. Lastly, there are trailers for eight of Newman’s vintage films. This is definitely a robust package for one of the substantial films of the 1960’s.

This disc ranks true up there with one of the worst Blu-ray transfers I possess (along with the first Stargate release) . It is a shame, as this is a really astronomical and fun movie. It is one of the first westerns I occupy that really interspersed humor with drama in an effective contrivance. I plan it tried to be a bit too distinguished or to have something for everyone (the bicycle scene went on a exiguous long for my taste, for example) . Audio is fair but the failure to accomplish a really outstanding video transfer (as was done with Patton recently) will disappoint the many fans of this movie who were eagerly awaiting this release.

If you already bought the previous box sets, then feel free to pickup “American Dad!: Volume Three” is a well recommended rob for any fan of the hilarious FOX sitcom. All 18 episodes of the second and third seasons are presented in standard stout cloak format. The narrate quality is expansive with gleaming colors and safe sharpness. Its 5.1 Dolby Digital sound is obvious and well balanced. The 3-disc residence features audio commentary by production crew and stutter cast and all 18 episodes, unrated audio tracks on selected episodes, “Comic-Con Table Read” featurette and over 60 deleted and extended scenes. Overall, “American Dad!: Volume Three” scores a B+.

This note is honest lustrous. I like Family Guy, but I honest assume the writing in this is even one step better. Intellectual and really amusing… and the archaic is probably why it does not do better in the ratings.

A hilarious romp through Unique York’s sludge and grime underbelly of trip queens; prostitutes, cops, and uncomfortable genitals. Based Ralph Konig’s German silly book of the same name, Killer Condom was picked up by Lloyd Kaufman’s illustrious Troma Team after touring the alternative / underground film circuit, and doing quite well. The film features `creative consulting’ by H.G. [Alien (1979) / Species (1995) ] Giger, and special effects by controversial splatter & gore director Jorg [Nekromantik (1989) / Schramm] Buttgereit. Certain to obtain out how the residents of a street wise hotel are ending up without there special purposes, a very hairy, and very homosexual Italian police detective named `Luigi Macaroni’ (played by Udo Samel) almost loses his absorb family jewels. …A living, squirming, and worst of all, biting condom grips the city in prophylactic awe. Can the mega-endowed Luigi halt the cult of clean villains who created the Killer Condom fair to rid sexual deviants and other perverts from the City? Beware of the rubber that will rub you out.

This trashy masterpiece is based on a cartoon by the grand German cartoonist Ralf König (he is tranquil quite unknown outside his home country and especially in the US for some reason) . Your typical hardboiled, cynical, chain-smoking trench-coat wearing Italian detective stalks the street of Novel York. Only this one is openly delighted, and is illustrious for his substantial…”schwanstucker”. At the Hotel Quickie in his district, an alarming number of men have lost theirs. Over-eager hookers are first suspected, but our hero soon discovers the truth when he goes to the hotel and almost loses his - to a condom with teeth! Who may be tedious this fiendish creature, and how is detective Macaroni going to convince others of the existence of this killer contraceptive before it strikes again? Unlike most Troma films this film actually have a rather kindly and coherent (but extremely absurd) set. It is a satirical comedy that is actually played straight for the most fragment. For being a European film it actually had quite a astronomical budget. It is also enchanting to glance that lots of distinguished German actors and celebrities clamoured to acquire roles in this film that would have made Hollywood stars urge away in fear screaming “Career killer!!!”. The bearish and openly overjoyed actor Udo Samel who stars as detective Macaroni has previously played in distinguished German masterpieces such as Far Away So Cessation and Kasper Hauser. The DVD version includes some nice consuming menus, some Troma extras and a broad comment track by the director and special effects supervisor. There are lots of droll anecdotes about the directors claiming to be making a documentary so they will acquire permission to film in noted locations, police officers closing off Novel York streets for hours, stunts that went horribly snide, and all the evil scenes that were cleave. “For some reason they slice a close-up shot here of the condom on the floor after it had impartial…fed. I can’t gawk why. I mediate it was a glorious shot”. At one point there is a nice move from a flashback sequence, into a reflection in a window, and then a pan as the actor turns and walks away into the distance. The director explains how he did it, and then with a large laugh adds “But this was probably lost on the average Troma viewer!” Alien designer Giger is included in the credits as a creative consultant, but he joined the filming so slow he could basically only say “yes, that looks apt” about the designs already made. The film is in German with English subtitles. Unfortunately you can’t turn the subtitles off, they are not on a separate track but for what its worth, it is a very estimable translation. American viewers might catch it droll to gawk German actors speaking German pretending to be Fresh Yorkers, but as the directors point out, that is what Hollywood does to the rest of the world all the time.

The second half of the movie is unfortunately less polished (relatively speaking of course) than the first because the makers ran out of time and money. Lots of scenes were slice from the second half, which makes some subplots a miniature confusing, but the directors admit that the film would probably have been even better if some more stuff had been reduce from the last half since the ending manages to be both slowly paced and confusing. However, it is aloof a proper film and I can recommend it if you are a fan of trashy entertainment.

If you’re looking at this product page, you’ve likely seen “Limited Britain,” so I’ll skip reviewing this lustrous and hilarious exhibit and instead address the DVDs themselves. This box situation includes all three series of “Exiguous Britain,” plus the “Petite Britain Live” and “Tiny Britain Abroad” specials. All of these DVDs are excellently produced and must-haves for fans of this program. The portray and sound are phenomenal, but best of all are the extensive extras.

Each DVD position includes episode commentaries from stars Matt Lucas and David Walliams, deleted scenes, interviews, talk expose appearances, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and more. The included documentaries aren’t the short featurettes found on many DVDs, but instead feature-length specials (often 60 min. long) that exhibit what goes into creating the note for TV or stage. Particularly attractive are the documentaries about the making of the live exhibit (on the “Small Britain Live” DVD) and the live show’s tour of Australia (on the “Exiguous Britain Abroad” DVD) . Walliams and Lucas are endlessly enthralling when not on stage, and there’s a consistent stream of guest stars in the documentaries. In short, this spot is highly recommended for fans of Emily, Vicky, Ann, Des, Lou, Sebastian and the rest.

It’s proper the humor in Microscopic Britain is not for everyone. The skits range from “improper” bodily fluids spewing to some quite clever area gags. Skits are hit and miss - some being hilarious and some unbiased lame. Everyone will have their common characters (mine being Lou and Andy, Daffyd, Vicky, and Bubbles) .

For USians, the fact you can’t understand half of what is being said makes it even funnier. Of course, there are references and cameos we won’t salvage either but it doesn’t detract too great - rep a friend from the UK to beget you in. But cameos from celebrities like Elton John and George Michael are ample. Having visited the UK at least once will support give you a frame of reference for a lot of the characters.

Little Britain definitely comes from the school of Benny Hill and Monty Python. Anyone raised on those shows should feel upright at home. And refreshing to those of us in the US who disapprove political correctness - this is stuff that would never pass US censors, even if it did, no major network would touch it with a 100′ pole for terror of threats of boycotts (OK, maybe FOX would air it) . I can’t imagine a US expose having a character like Desiree DeVere and the backlash it would cause.

Being able to acquire Diminutive Britain on DVD is one of the qualified things about globalization. Hopefully the days of being able to determine what we want to peruse instead of having some corporate suit or politician determine it for us are not far off.

Anyone, if you are a fan of British comedy - this is a must to study.

Anybody who is a fan of the unique series has been waiting for this release. Finally, we can fill all the SBTB,almost. It should be renowned that the Hawaian movie was actually the last thing filmed with the fresh cast before the Tori episodes of season five. This is a expansive itsy-bitsy speed when you’re feeling down and out in the precise world. And at last, for those who got the College Years box can finally endcap the series with Wedding in Las Vegas, as the gang has some hijinks in the city that never sleeps and finally we gaze Zack and Kelly accept hitched. Even Jessie and Belding exhibit up! Now if only Liongate would release thoe Junior year episodes with Miss Bliss…hint hint.

I am sooooooo enraged! I watched saved by the bell as a kid and about six moths ago i began to grasp the seasons and have loved reliving my fav. memories especially w/ Zack and Kelly and now to have my collection complete with this current relase will be extraordinary.

I’ve been waiting for this DVD for a long time and it was worth the wait. Chuck Norris is at it again, defending the free world and bringing down the awful guys. If you like the average action movie, you’ll adore this as it is an outstanding example of the genre.

MGM Gave this movie a fine genuine transfer treatment, a fully anamorphic widescreen transfer with sincere surround sound. Not awful for a 16 year dilapidated film that wasn’t a blockbuster. Not distinguished in the extras department, but digging up a widescreen trailer for the film is better than the nothing that they’ve given with some films.

All in all a pleasant, satisfying Chuck Norris movie and a expansive value DVD capture.

The Gods who were Golan and Globus have blessed the world with this eternally fun and gratuitously violent movie. They conclude at nothing to originate these terrorist guerillas the most reprehensibly vile people on earth to the point where you absolutely drool at the understanding of Chuck Norris emptying his twin uzis into them.

School buses, churches, beach goers, entire neighborhoods (this is a particularly jaw dropping scene), shoppers. Nothing and nobody is pleasurable.

And did I mention it takes region during the Christmas season? If anything makes the terrorists in this movie even more unsuitable it is their lack of Christmas spirit. And yes, Santa isn’t good either.

This is one of those rare movies I can discover over and over again and never pick up sick of. If you like your movies with a copious amount of uzis, shotguns, bazookas, coke snorting, grenades, mullets, 80’s hair, and the CHUCK NORRIS you will absolutely treasure INVASION U.S.A.

Naturally, since he’s the only one who knows how to work the darn thing, he is rapid drafted into the Earth Federation Army (or Navy, whatever) .

Over the course of 42 episodes (the first 5 of which are on this DVD), Amaro and his companions must fight for survival against overwhelming odds, perilous supply lines, and the constant attacks of the “Red Comet”, Char Aznable, the Zeons’ ace pilot. Amaro establishes the now-familiar Gundam theme of “young rookie pilot makes edifying”, while Char establishes a similar theme of “blond terrible guys (with frosty nicknames) wearing masks”.

Overall, this is a high-quality series that is more focused on storytelling than merchandising, and all of the discs have grand Special Features. My rating: 10/10

This is my first time experiencing the modern gundam. It is a noble anime to prefer if a fan of gundam. This volume shows how it begun. For an feeble anime it did broad on graphics and sound quality. Recommend this highly to anyone.

When the farmer is away, the animals will play. In fact, when the farmer is away, the animals stand on two legs, high-tail, and talk. One of those animals, Otis the cow (James), is a prankster who does as small as possible and enjoys life. Otis’s day, Ben (Elliott), is the animal that keeps the farm running smoothly. He is their leader, and he takes this dwelling seriously. Try as he might, he is unable to talk Otis into getting serious about life. He wants Otis to lead the farm when he is gone, but Otis wants none of that. Soon, when Ben is unable to lead, and Otis does not step up, the coyotes originate to judge that the farm could be theirs for the taking.

“Barnyard” is about as middle of the road in quality as a kids’ movie can be. It does some things upright and provides some laughs, but it also does a lot of things outrageous. Most disturbing are the male “cows”. Even kids know that males should not have udders, and it is a bit disconcerting to hear Sam Elliott’s converse reach out of a cow. The record is not too fresh, with echoes of “The Lion King”, and not all the jokes work. On the certain side, it does offer up a gracious accurate of responsibility, and young kids will obtain it more comical than adults. This is a forgettable entry into 2006’s intelligent movies, and will be forgotten within a year.

At first the animation seems engrossing and unusual, but after a while it starts to seem a bit amateurish and rushed, as does the dwelling and the character development. It’s not all that surprising, considering that the writer/director is Steve Oedenkirk, creator of distinguished Hollywood Schlock. I’m not going into detail on his career, IMDB it, and you’ll collect the only quality film he’s made is Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, and the quality of that is questionable to some.

The celebrity voice-over has become somewhat of a fad in unique consuming film creations, although it’s constantly been proven that celebrity voices don’t necessarily equal box-office scheme, and they definitely don’t equal quality cartoon time. Barnyard is no exception.

The overall legend is a subpar Lion King-esque ripoff with Sam Elliot as the patriarch of the barnyard and Kevin James as the young partying cow who doesn’t bewitch life seriously. Now follow the Lion King yarn, but replace Lions with cows, the prideland with a barnyard, and hyenas with coyotes. There you go, you’ve got this film.

There are some droll parts, and a top-notch deal of heart and family safe lessons to be learned, but considerable of the father/son legend drags on and gets so intense that it will leave kids bored and probably not register with them. Other things are unprejudiced random and unfunny.

Overall, this arresting film feels vaguely familiar. Another studio rushing to establish out a star-powered animation that families will flock to, only to derive that it’s not as easy a genre as Pixar makes it out to be. If you skip an moving film this year, skip this one.
