Season 2 of TMNT took the Turtles on a wild roller coaster of stories, and the episodes here judge this. There are gang wars, inter-dimensional tournaments, alien planets, underground civilizations, and more. One of my favourites is the two-parter “Rogue in the House” where the Turtles team with a lost Triceraton to acquire down the Shredder’s newest fortress. You also find crossovers with Stan Sakai’s “Usagi Yojimbo” characters and a loving homage to the golden age DC/Marvel superhero teams.

There’s definitely enough TMNT for your buck here - a few of the stand-alone stories do feel filler-ish and there’s occasionally some legend pacing issues (a result of TMNT having its last commercial demolish so terminate to the waste of each explain), but the problems are easily over-looked. Kudos again to another titanic recent hide - can’t wait to search for what season 3 will perceive like.

My son loves this series– he is six. He unfortunately won’t be seeing this from the order I placed. Amazon cancelled this a week after I ordered. I contacted Amazon requesting the order be fulfilled for the designate it was offered and customer service told me two times they would not fulfill the order. I was told they did me a favor by sending me an email that they were cancelling my order. Thanks Amazon! This is one of those rare gems — a movie based on a stage play that is lawful to the unusual.

The premise is simple: a man and a woman happen to meet at a romantic Pacific fly inn in the 1950s, use a night together, and watch that they’re both married — with children, no less! How do they deal with it? Well, after getting past the initial shock and guilt (she yells into a towel, he lies about his wife’s name and the number of children he has), they agree to meet every year, same weekend, same status. We, the audience, are allowed to recognize every 5th meeting in the same room.

We scrutinize the changes in the relationship, the changes in each of the participants, the changing times. We gather to know Doris and George through these slices of time, laugh with them, shout with them, always with the expect — will they ever leave their respective partners and follow their hearts? It’s definitely a relationship based more on mutual respect and friendship, despite its extra-marital foundation. You win the feeling that these two individuals are truly soul-mates who fair happened to meet.

Alan Alda gives an improbable performance, beginning as a guilt-ridden rather milk-toast-ish accountant. Without giving away the state twists, he goes through many changes and personal crises, and unexcited manages to discontinue a reasonably likable, vulnerable man.

Ellen Burstyn, as Doris, enters into this as a rather ditzy young wife on her intention to a Catholic retreat with the nuns, who manages to grow up over the years. It’s a treat to peruse the changes in these characters with each change of scene.

Bernard Slade’s modern two-person play with its witty dialogue is preserved almost intact, with only one recent character in the movie that isn’t in the play (”extinct Mr. Chalmers”) . If anything, the movie improves the modern through the music and photo montages that separate the scenes (the entre-acte song, “The Last Time I Felt Like This” was nominated for an Academy Award) .

This is definitely worth seeing for the ample performances of Alda and Burstyn.

This movie brilliantly explores the understanding of the stable and sustainable affair, built by two people so responsible and so “nice” they would never glimpse such a thing, and once there never want wound to their spouses - but who obtain their novel like as compelling as their first and as impossible to leave. The origin of the affair here is almost an afterthought - the sincere focus is on the maturing of the fresh relationship across a substantial span of years.

This movie resonates with me because it is my anecdote - after finding one who would have been the worship of my life more than 20 years ago but who was then engaged, I did the “wonderful” thing and let her go but never stopped loving her. Meeting again several years ago, we realized the mistake and despite both being married with children we began to meet once a year at a college reunion, holding that time aside for us while the rest of the year belonged to our spouses. The affair was not destined to mirror STNY (how did they ever withhold it secret? We couldn’t…) but the feelings haven’t changed - I objective don’t have the annual weekend to leer forward to anymore…!!

The message of this movie that resonates so strongly is that it is possible to adore two people deeply and romantically - and to hold such feelings - and responsibilities - over a very long period. A good minefield? Of course - but far from the typical Hollywood fantasy that filmgoers have effort identifying with.

The movie for me was a peek of a status that I have lived with for a long time - and I would wager that there are many like me who accept opinion and solace in this film. However, it is not only for those who can identify with the message - it brilliantly challenges your assumptions and world opinion as the best movies tend to do.

I cannot spy this film without crying at the ending - you are brought along in caring about the characters so strongly that their care for becomes something that matters to you too.

Having broken-down out more than one copy of the VHS movie, I have desperately waited for its DVD release - and am absolutely thrilled tonight. I will be pre-ordering it immediately (maybe a couple copies…)

This movie may not be extraordinary for those who dismiss adultery as ghastly without put a question to - but if you are willing to lower the barriers for two hours to at least hear out another side to the narrative, you will be richly rewarded.

This movie came and went fast in theaters, but as is so often the case, that is no indication of how ample this movie is. Ricky Gervais is smart, and as a long-time fan I knew I wanted to glimpse this. (If you haven’t already, be definite to check him out in BBC’s “The Office” and “Extras”, and of course in “Ghost Town”) . This movie is charming, poignant, and thanks to Gervais, very amusing. His humour and talent are matchless and so luscious to search for. You have to examine this movie!!

A Brit in Fresh York dies on the operating table. After being resuscitated, discharged and leaving the hospital, he finds he can seek and communicate not only with the living, but also with the tiring,. As soon as the monotonous eye his secret they unbiased won’t leave him alone…

I have always found Ricky Gervais (The Office, Extras) incredibly Englishly silly. In Ghost Town he did not disappoint. He was hilarious from the first to the last shrimp, what facial expressions! But what got to me, was how sexy his character, Dr Pincus, became as he developed as a character throughout the film. By the kill of the film I was positively infatuated with Dr Pincus! The contrasting setting (Original York) added to the sense of Englishnes mentioned. Suited.

The film is not unbiased a thigh-slapper though, particularly the middle of the film is quite touching. It makes a favorable ‘Christmas story’ (although not space during Christmas, it smacks of being somewhat Dickensian in its theme), has that feel-good factor, and could even pass for romantic comedy.

My ex-wife could never understand why I (the recent couch potato) could never come by enough of nature shows on TV. It was rather difficult to clarify how engaging I found the natural world, especially from the comfort of my gain living room. And admittedly, some of those WILD KINGDOM episodes were kind of hokey. (I remember how betrayed I felt when I found out that Jim and Marlin had staged most of the worthy scenes and hadn’t actually ventured to the wilds of Africa or the Amazon. Maybe they were unprejudiced couch potatoes at heart too.)

But French filmmaker, Jacques Perrin and crew are certainly the valid deal. This breathtaking documentary is one that I would unqualifiedly recommend–to honest about anyone. Even my “ex” called recently to let me know that this film had left her in tears. I found it equally sharp, and plainly I wasn’t alone. In fact, when I saw it the whole theater burst into applause at the kill.

As others have famous, the camera work on this film is panic inviting. I have seen a few television docs with this kind of upclose footage before (I consider maybe the EYEWITNESS series? ), but none have sustained the achieve for very long, and most don’t pack the emotional wallop of this film.

Between this film and the modern SPELLBOUND, I can survey an expanding market for documentaries–at least the more fresh and entertaining ones. A colossal film for family viewing, although younger children may be upset by the depiction of some of nature’s (and mankind’s) harsher realities. Otherwise, a proper must-see in a sea of only purported must-sees.

This 2001 award-winning documentary by Jacques Perrin certainly is novel. It’s a paunchy 99 minutes of glorious cinematography of migrating birds, some species flying as far as 12,500 miles each year. There are a few captions, which squawk the name of the bird and the amount of mileage they sail in order to migrate. There’s also some light background music as well as natural sounds, and a few sentences, spoken by the director. Other than that, it’s only the birds, whose migratory patterns were followed for three years.

At the beginning of the film there’s a disclaimer informing the audience that there were no special effects were feeble. And so I sat there in wonder of how they were able to do all their shots. There’s the beauty of birds flying in formation, cessation up shots of them feeding their young, competing with each other, stopping to rest. And there’s one aesthetic shot of fleeing an avalanche.

There are different species filmed in different areas of the world. We eye the Artic Circle, the American Southwest, the industrial areas of Eastern Europe, the sizable oceans, the skyline of cities and even a shot as they wing past the World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty. We also behold hunters whose gunfire brings sudden death as well as a bird with a broken flee who is attacked and devoured by crabs.

Here is nature, in all its power and glory. I sat there wide-eyed, taking it all in. And somehow, the petty concerns of my daily life seemed to plunge into perspective.

Some people might net this film dull and I doubt if it will catch wide distribution in theaters. It’s only playing in one theater in Novel York and, even in this densely populated city, there was a very sparse audience. I’m joyful I was one of the people in that audience though because I loved every moment of the film would definitely glance it again on DVD, especially if it had special features to report how the cinematography was done.

The “American Pie” trilogy is one of the freshest, funniest and most consistent comedy series in film history. I can’t regain one major flaw in any of the films. Oh certain, maybe there are a few quirks here nd there, but each film is absolutely hilarious and only seem to earn better with age.

“American Pie (1999, Unrated) - The first film in the series introduces to the series’ vivid assortment of characters: nervous, scatterbrained virgin Jim (Jason Biggs), levelheaded, suave Oz (Chris Klein), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), who is only one step ahead of Jim thanks to the fact he already has a girlfriend (Tara Reid), sexual mastermind Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas), and one of the most dastardly laughable creations ever, the unforgettable Steve Stiffler (Sean William Scott) . The film chornicles their sexual mishaps (key words: pale ale, pie and flutes) and ultimate triumph over virginity. Plus, there’s hot girls thrown in the mix: nerdy but lovable band geek Michelle (Alsyon Hannigan), levelheaded choir girl Heather (Mena Suvari), spellbinding, nervous Vicki (the aforementioned Tara Reid), all vivid sex guru Jessica (Natasha Lyonne) and of course, Czechoslovokian babe Nadia (Shannon Elizabeth) . The bevy of hot babes assembled for this movies is only rivaled by the classic beauties of the “Grumpy Mature Men” movies. Eugene Levy is a sincere scene stealer as Jim’s overly supportive dad, and Jennifer Coolidge is a hoot as Stiffler’s mom, a.k.a. the MILF.

The film is very well written, and several of the scenes have since become classics. 5/5

“American Pie 2″ (2001, Unrated) - The second, and arguably best, film of the series, has all the cast members from the first film returning. In this one, the boys rent a summer home in which they will enjoy an waste of the sumer party in which they hope toscore as many chicks as possible. Natuarally, lots of things go horrible, and faded feelings inaugurate to arise, causing the boys to rethink their plans.

The film is as ample as the first one, and actually improves upon it in some ways. While none of the scenes are as hilarious as, say, the pie scene, the humor in this one is more wittier and a lot of the one liners are better. The super-glue scene rightfully takes it site as one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life, and the whole film is another laugh riot. 5/5

“American Wedding” (2003, Unrated) . Often considered the worst of the series. By this point, the formula was beginning to wear thin, plus the half the cast either didn’t return or wasn’t asked assist. Smooth, these do nothing to diminish this second sequel, which fins Jim and Michele preparing to tie the knot. Original characters are introduced, and the same conventional schtick is aloof unbiased as silly the third time around. 5/5

Overall, this is a boxed position I definitely recommend purchasing. Here’s hoping that somewhere down the line, a fourth “American Pie” will someday witness the light of day.

I’m not a fan of the teen comedy genre and yet I realy liked these films cause there absolutely hilarious especially when it comes to Stifler (Sean William Scott), Jim (Jason Biggs) and Jim’s dad (Eugene Levy) those three are the funniest characters in my thought. Yes the humor is very low but what else do you put a question to from a stupid teen sex comedy, all the films are listless but also have some very laughable and witty scenes in them and they’re very appetizing. The first American pie film is about Jim and his highschool friends who get a promise that each one is going to lose there virginity by the raze of their highschool year but then fail and ruin up doing some ridicoulos and very funny things to each other.

The second film which is my current has the same gang support together after a year from college, they determine to have a beach party at one of the guys summer house and Nadya the exchange student is serve so Jim trys to derive help with her and have sex with her finaly but he aloof has feelings for Michelle (Alyson Hannigon) who is a band geek and some hilarity ensues including the superglue scene which is the funniest thing I have ever seen. The third film is the weakest film in the series and not for the few missing cast members but because it impartial wasn’t amusing enough, Jim is all grown up and has asked Michelle his highschool sweetheart to marry him but when he plans for the wedding it seems like whole thing turns into one stout anxiety after another. Overall I would say that this boxset is a big addition to your comedy collection and two thumbs up!.

Looking at the screen, I don’t search for where it states this is a WWII collection. Only that it is “War Collection Battlefront Asia”. It appears to me that Amazon made the mistake when they tagged it as a WWII collection. You can’t knock the DVD for that. These are all broad movies at a tag you can’t beat.

The Green Berets takes area during the Vietnam War, not WWII.

Here’s the DVD history of Rocky: MGM originally released individual standard DVDs of the Rocky movies many years ago as the DVD format became more common. The DVDs were, to attach it charitably, poorly produced. Subsequently, MGM released a Rocky I-V box station befriend in 2001 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Rocky. Although the packaging was nice, there wasn’t remarkable improvement to the DVDs themselves as far as audio and video transfers; the most considerable detail of the position was the addition of interviews and other special features to the first Rocky disc. A few years later, the site was re-released with different packaging, with some improved audio and video transfers on some of the movies (Rocky V was notably left untouched) . And last year, to coincide with the release of Rocky Balboa, the region was re-released again, this time with the cheap, thin DVD cases now being extinct in tv season DVD packages as the only disagreement from the previous release. Inexplicably, rather than being included in the re-re-released box plot, the first Rocky movie was also separately re-released on DVD in a 2 disc 30th Anniversary special edition (Well, I guess greed would justify it…) . So, if you bought any of the box sets, you level-headed had to steal the 30th Anniversary edition of Rocky to be a just completist.

With Rocky Balboa having been available on DVD for over six months, MGM has now chosen to release the complete region of films in a novel box residence. But what a missed opportunity this represents to include special features which have been omitted from previous releases. I do not know if there are slice scenes from Rocky IV in the MGM vaults, but I know for a fact that there is massive material for Rocky V, as a bootleg “uncut” version of the film has been circulating online for years. Also, why not finally upgrade the video transfer of Rocky V? Perhaps the most egregious omission will be special features for Rocky Balboa. Listening to Stallone’s commentary on the DVD, he repeatedly refers to a “director’s cleave” which he would like to release at some point. This would have been the perfect time.

Its exactly what you would expect: all 6 movies and no extras, no commentaries, no bonuses, Fair the movies. So if you waited for a profitable deal like I did, then its the region for you. If you want a Special Edition, then its not for you.

Hot Rod marks one of the first films to feature the novel generation of Saturday Night Live members with Andy Samberg and Bill Hader. It’s standard practice that SNL has become a launching pad for a movie career. Do Samberg and Hader have what it takes to create that jump from the little shroud to the large one? If you set Footloose (Special Collector’s Edition), Napoleon Dynamite - Like, the Best Special Edition Ever!, and Nacho Libre (Special Collector’s Edition) into a blender, Hot Rod would be the martini you would win.

Andy Samberg plays the eternal optimist with zero talent and tons of ambition. He’s the Ed Wood of the stuntmen world. He commits himself completely to the role and is likable enough. Isla Fisher is absolutely adorable as the film’s appreciate interest and lights up the mask with her spirited smile infectious energy.

Hot Rod follows the tried and proper formula of the inept underdog who doggedly pursues his goal despite a lack of any kind of talent. However, this film has a very off-kilter, staccato rhythm all its acquire, reminiscent of Napoleon Dynamite, that is surprisingly refreshing.

“Ancestors Protect Me: Tedious the Scenes of Hot Rod” is a jokey win on the usual promotional featurette as cast and crew ham it up for the camera and crawl fun at these kinds of extras.

Also included are 13 deleted and extended scenes with optional commentary by Schaffer, Samberg and Taccone. They crack jokes about this footage and account for that it was lop because of time constraints.

There is also an “Outtakes Reel” that is an uncommon collection of bits that aren’t all that amusing per se, but rather exclusive - kind of like the film itself.

“Kevin’s Videos” are eight clips shot by Rod’s step-brother Kevin that were glimpsed in excerpts in the film. These are comic “promos” and “training exercises” showing how inept Rod is at, well, anything physical. One promo has Rod admiring a jetski that’s not his.

“Punch-Dance” takes a seek at Rod’s “arresting” tribute to one of the dance sequences in Footloose with a shot-by-shot comparison that is quite silly.

“Home Video Footage of Orchestra Recording Session” is exactly what you salvage and that’s it.

Finally, there is a theatrical trailer.

“Yes” is my response to this movie. Finally a movie that understands what is truly indispensable in this world: 80s music training montages, fighting people HARD, being totally awesome, and esteem. It’s not certain Will Ferrell jokes, or Napoleon Dynamite non-jokes, it’s somewhere inbetween…and then a arresting good turn off into status. Hot Rod is its believe imprint of genius- the genius of The Lonely Island.

No one can really review this product because it isn’t out yet, but to reply (and counter) the above poster, there are several reasons to remove this release even if you bought the first Blu-ray release. I knew better; Stargate had at least 3 DVD releases (the first two were subpar), so why wouldn’t Blu-ray be the same? I held off on the barebones Blu-ray (one of the first films to the format), even though it could be had uber-cheap.

The intitial Blu-ray only had the director’s nick, which I derive evil to the theatrical reduce (gives away too distinguished at the beginning for one thing), so I never bothered to select it. The modern release will have both cuts of the film, plus lossless audio instead of objective DTS-HD High Resolution (which is tranquil very well-behaved) . I would examine an improvement in video quality as well. I hold the first release was a 25GB Blu-ray with MPEG-2 compression.

This Blu-ray will be a 50 gig disc opposed to the first one which was only 25 gig. Take it like it wasn’t a movie. Stare no stars here. Imagine this was your grandma and grandpa in those weak times travelling thru Italy to sell their keen house in Napoli. What a collection of astounding, enthralling views! You can peek the valley of the Vesubio, houses that must have been built on top of other ruined houses, again and again. It’s like you travelling those places.

Now what really astonished me is not the sense of reality I got watching those locations, it was the trusty characters of the husband and wife. They weren’t playing any roles. They citical status unbiased developed normaly, the intention it develops in accurate life. It’s not acting. The married couple has been drifting apart since a long time ago, and now near to a breaking point. There are no histrionics. It’s fair a regular couple like any other. If you don’t acquire it, you fair ain’t grown up yet. I contemplate this is one of the best films I’ve evre seen, but I’m unruffled wondering why, because there’s nothing astronomical or spectacular about it, not even mysterious, or curious. It’s objective tiresome mature time edifying visual anecdote telling.

The memoir, superficially, is about a British husband and wife who are in Naples for the purpose of selling family land. The essence of the yarn derives from the couple’s constant bickering, which blinds them to all that is around them - all the natural and manmade beauty of Italy that is passing before them in symbols of life and death. Each of them is too self-absorbed to realize or luxuriate in that everything - time, culture, diagram of life - is passing, honest like the landscape as they drive along in their Rolls Royce, and in their blindness, they repeatedly forfeit the happiness of unprejudiced being alive, together, and voyaging in Italy.

Worth seeing in the film are the dated scenes of the sculpture galleries of the Naples National Archaeological Museum, also the Solfatara Crater where a guide demonstrates the vapor phenomenon to Ingrid Bergman.

But the most critical visual art of the film - absolutely most worth the film - is a spellbinding and pivotal scene advance the film’s ruin in which the couple (and the viewer) has the opportunity to contemplate an staunch archaeological excavation process of on-site mould casting of skeletal remains at the ruins of Pompeii.
